Someday I Will….
Someday I Will…
I think we can all fill in the blank. “SOMEDAY I am going to ___________!”
Isn’t it funny how we live a “someday” life? I guess it’s not actually funny at all, it’s sort of sad. Last month Aaron came home one day and said,”For 10 years I have been saying ’someday we are going to have a pop-up camper – someday.’ and for the past 10 years we haven’t been any closer to getting it. SOMEDAY doesn’t even exist! I am going to go get one right now!” I started laughing and I told him to go for it. By the end of the week we owned a sweet pop-up camper. There is no SOMEDAY there is only TODAY.
Last week we took our camper out and camped at Flaming Gorge. Lucy commented,”This is the first time I have camped in my whole life!” She was right and she is 7 years old! We ate smores every night. We played backgammon and Old Maid. Leah rode her bike around the campsites and Lucy drove her wheelchair. Aaron, Leah and I jumped into the lake off of a 35-foot cliff. We borrowed a friend’s wave runner and accidentally tipped it over with all four of us on it!!! (We are still laughing about it!)
I dare you to do something TODAY that you have been saying you will do SOMEDAY. I’d love to hear what it is!

[...] year, we decided it would be: The Year of No More Somedays And it was! We knocked off our biggest “someday purchase” and bought our pop-up camper, a camper we had talked about buying for 10 years, and we immediately [...]
