Do you ever wonder who you would be and what you would be doing if you didn’t have your kids? I mean really! If we didn’t have Leah, or if Leah wasn’t born deaf there is an enormous chunk of my life, my experiences, my work, my travel and my friends that would be wiped out of existence. It is quite remarkable!

The same goes for Lucy – I can’t even grasp the rich experiences and incredible people that would be erased. There are so many places we have gone because of Lucy! It makes me think of the Dr. Seuss book “Oh The Places You’ll Go!” – but only the opposite. “Oh The Places You Would Have Missed!’”

It’s an interesting game to play. It makes you realize how much life, experience and interaction we gain from every single person we know.

What a CUTE picture! It is amazing to think how different your life would be without your children. Makes you appreciate them all the more and what gifts from God they truly are. ttfn

I think about this a lot. Our most recent child was a surprise, and now he’s six months old and I’ve been looking at him in total wonder, thinking, “We didn’t plan you! If things had gone according to OUR plans, you wouldn’t be here!” And that just seems unimaginable!

I just wanted to say that I love your Signing Time show!! I just flipped on the TV to PBS for my son and your show was on! I love it! I had never heard of it before. I can’t wait to show it to my older kiddos when they get back from school! Nice job. BEAUTIFUL children!

I can relate; I have wondered where I would be, and how my life would be without my kids. I thank God Almighty for His wonderful plan to have them in my life. After having my third child I cannot believe how fast they grow and start doing things on their own. It makes you relize how much you have to cherish the time you have with them. Before long our children will be gone with families of their own.
Rachel and Aaron, you truely have been blessed by God to participate in the lives of your two wonderful girls.

I do the exact same thing and ya know, I’m glad I don’t have the chance to go back. I’d probably mess everything up. God knows what he’s doing!
