And Then There Were Twins!
You are not going to believe this!! I guess it is only fitting with all the babies being born around here that I would have some babies too. Twins!
It took a few tries to get them started, I mean, just ask Brad and Angelina, when you are going for twins, it’s a little tricky
Then it took just about 9 months for them to be ready to present to the world. It was, of course, a labor of love. Yesterday, I delivered them!
I am a proud mommy and happy to introduce you to, the only kind of babies I will personally be making: Baby Signing Time 3 & 4!!!
- Baby Signing Time 3 – New Day
- Baby Signing Time 4 – Let’s Be Friends
They even arrived with their very own web-site, www.babysigningtime.com – such technologically savvy babes!
Just like any parent, I am completely biased. In my opinion, these shows are the cutest shows we have done to date! I am very proud of these little babies!
As we neared completion on Baby Signing Time 3 & 4, we thought it might be cool to have some folks preview them, before the shows were released. We went straight to the internet. First let me share an amazing fact: 80% of Signing Time fans hear about Signing Time from a friend or family member! See, your friends do believe you and they listen to you and they even follow your recommendations!
We contacted a number of bloggers who had over the past year, blogged about using Signing Time, we asked if they would like to preview and review the shows. I figured it is a little way to say “Thank you!” for spreading the news about what we are doing. Sometimes, I hop on and comment on their posts… and some of them don’t think it’s really me doing that, but it is really me… I mean YOU guys know that.
Our reviewers were honest. They shared what they liked and didn’t like. They shared how their children reacted and how the grownups reacted. Me, I’m too close to it all, I had to keep reminding myself as I read them, “They are not talking about me, they are talking about my show.” Oh, but some of them were talking about me too.
So, in no particular order, except for #1… it really is #1… because it is by far my very, very favorite!! (Odd that it is the most flattering, the most hilarious and at the same time it is slightly disturbing!)
Here are 10 great bloggers reviewing Baby Signing Time 3 & 4!!!
#1. Backpacking Dad
Wandering Scientist
F is For Fischer
Rhett’s Journey
Stay At Home Mommy, Adventures of The Baby Chaser
Blogging Hallie (Thank you for mailing us cannoli, they rocked!!)
Maternal Instincts… Flying By The Seat of My Pants
The Family Update – Because Things Change So Fast
Raising Allie Kaye
If Only I Had Super Powers
I just have to say THANK YOU to all of the reviewers and to all of you out there who share your Signing Time experiences with people in your world, virtual and real. It is an honor that you welcome me and my family into your home and invite us to teach you and share our lives with you!!!
~Rachel

Ha ha ha ha.. you totally got me! I was thinking, “Did she tell me someone was expecting twins?”
I cannot wait to get these in and see them over and over to my heart’s content. Yes, that’s right… so *I* can see them over and over. With the kids and without. We loved seeing them at your house, and would have been content to have watched them on a constant loop.
You and everyone at Signing Time have really outdone yourselves with these new additions.

I cannot wait to get them. I’m a bit biased myself.
But I do agree and think that they are the cutest and best. Thanks so much for letting us be a part of the making of your babies!

Rachel….I’ve lurked for a really long time. My son–who we adopted almost 2 years ago—long story (heathersebi.blogspot.com)…has CP and can’t speak. You are his whole world! When he’s having a really bad day, all we have to say is, “do ya wanna see Rachel?” and the world is suddenly a better place! My best friend’s baby is learning sign as well, so she can communicate with her pal (they are 3 months apart in age). We have been known to sing things such as (sung to I’m Really Good)…I’m really good at tripping…I’m really good at screaming…I’m really good at yelling, I can yell! (when the day is long and we need a good laugh). Anyway, congratulations on your new project and know that you are well loved and respected in our house! And, you need to make a trip to Savannah. We need you here. I’ve got most of the Southeast part of Georgia and quite a bit of Orlando/Tampa hooked on you!!!
We love you! xoxoxoox Heather and Jack

Congratulations on the new additions to OUR family. We have asked for permanent custody of them and they better arrive in good condition. I do, however, thank you for allowing us to adopt them!
And you are so NOT kidding!

Hmmm I must say that Backpacking Dad totally made my night. That was so freaking funny.
Why?
Well, besides the obvious, Andy has a slight crush on you as well, it all came out when we were traveling through vegas on our trip to California and the Lonely Letter X song came on. I laughed so hard I almost peed my pants. Literally.
Now he is going to kill me when he sees this.
I was sworn to secrecy.
Now I gotta go make Back Packing Dad jealous and tell him that Andy actually got to HUG you!!
I am super excited to get our set.
Oh, and the comment about the parent beds being full? If I were to actually be in your house I would never sleep. You know that right? All I would be thinking is “OMG I am in Rachel Coleman’s house. OMG I am in Rachel Coleman’s house.”
We love you and your whole family…..oh and speaking of crushes, Chloee has a HUGE crush on Alex!!! She SLEEPS with the snowman door hanger he made for her.

Kei: Wow, if I got you… THAT is pretty good. The best was when William watched them and then turned to me and said, “Thank you Rachel!” How sweet is he, thanking me for new shows?
SallyAnn: “Thanks so much for letting us be a part of the making of your babies!” Hee hee Sally, that is a pretty funny line!!!
Salisbury8: Congrats on the baby girl! A lot of the kids call me, “Leah” or “Sign Time” or “Rachel” or “Rachel Coleman” there are so many options.
cathybarra: LOL Cathy, I hope your kids enjoy watching their 4 seconds of fame. Hopefully they can control the DVD player better than they control the microwave. Speaking of control… control yourself, Diet Coke Geyser Girl.
mom2rhett: Oh Pam, don’t let him read that, especially if you were sworn to secrecy! Again, I am flattered. You guys are awesome. That is too cute about Chloee, but you might not want her to read that either LOL! I am serious about the hospital rooms, no sleeping bags in cars, you hear me?

Congratulations on the new DVDs. Sounds like they are going to be lots of fun! Can’t wait to see them!

Rachel, I’m new here and just wanted to say thank you for all of your hard work in teaching us (and our children) sign language. I’m so excited about the new Baby Signing Times. My babies absolutely love 1 & 2, and we’re building up our library every pay period. THANK YOU!!! Judy

Okay, Rachel. I am sensing a conspiracy here. Remember last year when Hopkins had his Birthday Party, and it was the DAD’s who knew all the words to the Silly Pizza song?!?!?
Seriously what does this tell you!?!?
Sure….watching it for the kids. Uh-huh.
No it’s really because you ARE such a beautiful person and you have touched so many lives. It really is awesome when the dad’s love a children’s program and will watch it over and over and over again.
THAT tells you that what you are doing is a good thing. Andy can only watch one episode of Sesame Street before he says to turn it off he can’t stand it, yet he watches ST! over and over and over with Rhett, and even gives up his music in the car to listen to ST! CD’s.
It’s okay if men all across America have a crush on you. You totally deserve it!!
((HUGS))
P.S. Okay, I won’t ever sleep in a car again. I promise…Especially when it’s the middle of Feb, snowing, and only 20 degrees outside!!

Melody: Sounds like BPD is going to have a whole slew of ST! fans following him.. JUST what the man needs for his ego.
BackpackingDad: Oh, oops!!! What are YOU doing on MY blog? Did I say “disturbing?” Well if I did, I meant it in the most positive way possible. Let’s see… um… OH!! I know, it was disturbingly good and disturbingly nice and disturbingly funny! (HELP!)
~Rachel (<———- totally BUSTED by now PROVEN UN-creepy stalker… I mean how scary can a Signing Time Fan Dad toting his adorable daughter around in a backpack REALLY be?
Stay tuned, we may just find out.

bingcherry: Judy I hope you really enjoy the new shows. I enjoyed making them… (geez, that sounds like another making babies reference!)
mom2rhett: Pam- I’ve got nothing! I don’t even know what to say!
I guess if there are a couple of dads out there who have teensy crushes on me, I am totally flattered and that probably makes Aaron feel good too. Maybe your Andy and BPD can have a Silly Pizza war against each other to see once and for all who is the biggest fan. You didn’t tell Andy you told me that, did you? He will probably want to die next time there is a Signing Time event.
Babychaser :LOL it’s a great big, tiny internet my dear. And yes you can tell everyone that we are BFF!

FINALLY!! Been having a *very* hard time with WordPress not wanting to let me in. Good thing I don’t take that personally! LOL
Wow, I’m honored to be in such august company! And, BPD, you totally cracked me up with your post! I hope I dind’t hurt your feelings, Rachel, by admitting that my son wouldn’t watch the BST videos. He’s such a creature of habit.
So, now that I’ve finally cracked the WP code and can post comments…heh, heh, heh…(totally kidding!!)

Mrs. Coleman.
I would like to thank you for the wonderfull things that you did for Rhett. Pam and her family are truely special and have endured many things. I know that the very presence you made at the make a wish party for ther son Rhett is not something that will never be “topped” in their life.
I am so glad that I have had the opportunity to meet Rhetts family and have Rhett and my son also with DS be good buds.
I must ask your secret though. Cause as much as I love that little bugger, Rhett wont let me hold him :0( But he let you.
Thanks again,
Amanda

Niksmom: I appreciate how honest you were about what worked and didn’t work, and it just so happens that BIG changes do not work for your son. I respect that and I am glad that you respect that as well. So, no my feelings were not hurt – thank you for your concern. All the reviews we received felt honest and natural – and I can’t imagine anyone was writing FOR me or with the thought that I might be reading it – so again, thank you. A review is only good if it is honest.
ajberchielli: Yes, of course it was natural! There were “complications” though. We actually filmed me once and then when we saw it in the edit, and let me tell you, it was so WRONG. The whole thing was wrong. It didn’t FEEL like BST, it was too strong, the whole performance felt affected and you know what, I looked weird -LOL. I swear! I had lost 25 lbs and there were adjustments that should have been made for that, that were not made. And no one dared say, “Rachel doesn’t look like Rachel,” because they were worried that, well, maybe I just looked that weird, having lost so much weight. My fabulous sister and business partner Emilie, said “There is no way I am letting you go out that way to the world! You do not look like that in real life, you are so much prettier!” I cried, at the thought of re-shooting. We both cried at the cost. Then I re-shot my entire script and I am so glad that I did. It now feels right and now I look right!
Googsmom: That is so funny. I don’t think I have ever left that autograph anywhere else, so tell him that it’s one of a kind.
Mom2GreatKids: Dear Amanda, the best advice I can offer is try wearing orange. And go to Home Depot, buy some electrical tape and tape your fingers… can you sing? That might help too.
Let me know how it goes!

Okay, Rachel I am totally going to blame this one on you. You just had to mention PCMC didn’t you?
You’ll never guess where we are today celebrating Rhett’s 3rd birthday.
He started coughing up blood last night. NO FUN.
We got our room with a view…(or not) about 3 am this morning.
I had to blame someone…….Really I did…….

I told Backpacking Dad that he shouldn’t drool over you quite so publicly. That in order to keep it to true stalker-like status he should just send you creepy emails. That’s what the men do on my blog. Him included. Heh.
Was wondering if your videos are available in Canada. I work with disabled kids in a rehab hospital and your program would be a great benefit to many of the parents and children I interact with on a regular basis. Wondering how I could find them for my therapy program I run weekly.
Thanks.

Redneck Mommy: If it’s public it seems somehow “safer” IDK, am I wrong? You have WAY more experience in this than I.
Yes, Signing Time is available in Canada and I know those kiddos will love them!
STlindsey: Thank you for leaving an X rather than a number. You do love your job, don’t you?
Mom2GreatKids: LOL – well you are right that might be fine for October. Can you sing? Try singing to him… it works for me
